Childrens & Youth Ministries

Raising kids is a big job, and we’re here to partner with parents and caregivers in the important work of teaching the Bible. We want kids to know who God is and how much He loves them! We share this message with kids of all ages in Sunday School, Children’s Church, Youth Group and other activities.

Numerous events for children and families happen periodically throughout the year.  Check out Faith's Event Page or the Children and Youth's Ministry Facebook Page.

Infant - 5th grade

Sunday School check-in is located in the Music Room.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Our volunteers have a passion for teaching and love your kids like their own. Our ministry to children would not be possible without them!

  • Sundays at 9:30 am

Infants and toddlers discover God’s love through play, exploration and music. This group meets in the Jungle Room on the first floor, inside Touching Hearts.

  • Sundays at 9:30 am

Old and New Testament stories come to life for kids through skits, music, engaging lessons and hands-on activities. Classes are grouped by age.  All kids gather in the Music Room at 9:30 and move with their teachers to their classrooms.

  • Sundays during the 11:00 Worship Service

Kids ages 3 through 3rd grade are invited to come to Children’s Church while the sermon is preached. This fun and engaging space allows kids to wiggle, learn, and worship in their own way.  Kids will be dismissed by the Pastors to go to the Music Room with the adult leaders.

  • Wednesdays at 6:00 pm

As youth grow older, it is important for them to take ownership of their own faith. During confirmation they will learn about the basics of the Lutheran faith and will have the encouragement of not only the church, but also their parents. We want to adhere to Martin Luther’s words “As the head of the family should teach them in a simple way to his household”. Parents and youth will engage in conversations that will benefit everyone and their walk with Christ. This group meets in both the Commons and the Conference Room.

  • Middle and High School students cover a variety of Biblical topics as they relate to their everyday life.

6th-8th graders meet weekly on Sunday mornings in the school library.

9th-12th graders meet on Sunday mornings in the Youth Shed.

  • We have monthly opportunities for the youth to hang out, where they can get to know each other and build friendships. Details about these events are shared via email and Remind. To receive these updates please contact René Hodges at rhodges@faithlincoln.org.
